The Sol Plaatje Institute for Media Leadership is organizing a series of seminars around the country to be held in January. The 3 seminars are due to take place in Jo'burg, Durban and Cape Town between 26 - 30 January 2009.

We're bringing in a German sports expert, Jens Weinreich, who has just recently been voted German's Sports Journalist of the Year (2008) to conduct these seminars which are going to focus on how local media can engage their audiences better towards the 2010 FIFA World Cup and beyond.

Each seminar is R250/head and this includes seminar materials, lunch and teas. Please note that seminar costs will be channeled toward an SPI scholarship fund set up to help underprivileged South African students who wish to read for a Postgraduate Diploma in Media Management with SPI at Rhodes University.
